
Prof. Dr. Karim Sabry is a Professor of Surgery at Ain Shams University, Egypt, holding an MD in General Surgery, and is a leading specialist in Bariatric Surgery, Metabolic Surgery, and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery. He is the Founder and Director of KSC – Karim Sabry Centers, one of the specialized centers for obesity and bariatric surgery in Egypt.

With more than 17 years of experience and over 20,000 bariatric and metabolic surgeries performed, Prof. Sabry is widely recognized for advanced bariatric procedures and complex revisional bariatric surgery (Redo / Revision Surgery). His expertise includes the management of major post-bariatric complications such as leaks, strictures, marginal ulcers, and acute intra-abdominal emergencies.
Professional Memberships and Scientific Activity
Prof. Sabry is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is an active international lecturer at the BARIALINK Academy of Surgery, and regularly participates in bariatric surgery conferences, workshops, and hands-on training programs in Egypt and internationally.
